TIED HOUSE + Schubas Tavern

ABOUT THE RESTAURANT

Audiotree, the management and ownership group behind Lincoln Hall and 115 year old landmark, Schubas Tavern, enlisted Gensler Chicago to design a state-of-the-art structure. The demolition and full rebuild resulted in Tied House: a 12k square foot, two level restaurant, with a kitchen led by Chicago native, Chef Debbie Gold — a James Beard Award winner, four-time nominee, and returning Top Chef Masters competitor.

EFFORTS

SIX4 Creative was retained by Audiotree to lead all public relations initiatives, influencer management, programming, and newsletter efforts for the Tied House grand opening. To aid in our work, we would draft messaging, capture photography, and develop a strategy to release exclusive opening information and imagery to garner interest from appropriate editors, producers, and influencers. Once outreach assets were finalized, we would work to secure exclusives, announcing the grand opening of Tied House to garner media coverage, spread brand awareness, and generate revenue. Additionally, we were tasked with producing engaging activations and partnerships for the Lakeview restaurant to celebrate and support Chicago’s diverse LGBTQIA+ community. After the opening of Tied House, and a light restoration to Schubas Tavern, SIX4 Creative would continue to lead public relations, programming, and influencer outreach for both restaurants — building a steady foundation of local and national media attention, and further diversifying their guest demographic.

RESULTS

SIX4 Creative procured four exclusive media placements (1, 2, 3, 4) for the grand opening of Tied House, and garnered stories in Chicago Tribune (“We’re just so excited to get everybody in there.”), UrbanDaddy (“Dinner and a Show at Schubas Just Got a Serious Upgrade”), Chicago Magazine (”Chef Debbie Gold is back on the scene with Tied House”) and more. On opening day, it was declared that “today the venue launches into a new era” — and just three days later, Tied House was named one of “Chicago's Hottest New Restaurants” by Eater, and one of "5 New Restaurants on the Chicago Dining Scene" by the coveted Michelin Guide
